So here's the thing: I don't really care about football that much. But the Super Bowl is today, so I figure I might as well pretend to be fascinated by the art of pigskin throwing for a day as an excuse to sit around and watch special commercials and eat lots of chips. Because I'm taking the the time out of my obviously very busy and important life, I might as well get the whole Super Bowl experience by also watching the game and screaming at my TV, but in order to do this, I have to pick a side. As you might have gathered, I know jack shit about hand-egg, and instead of choosing to root for the team who wins the coin toss, I'll ask you, the good people of Oppo, who to root for. Whichever team gets named the most in the comments in the next hour will get my temporary support, which I will faithfully uphold until the game ends, which I will likely forget about entirely by the time F1 Free-Practice 1 in Melboune begins.

Patriots: Thanks to their coach they are a old school, highly disciplined team. There wont be any flashy plays, the quarterback wont be doing any running, but they will get the job done. They have been a mainstay in high level football for at least 10 years thanks to that Quarterback/Coach combo. Also, my team Im rooting for, Brady is a Michigan man, and I dont like the Seahawks very much.
Seahawks: While the Patriots skill is offence its all about defense for the Seahawks. They dont let tons of points on the board often and their offense is more than skilled enough to make it work. Their receivers are not very good, but their quarterback is flexible and can make plays all by himself. The real skill is Marshawn Lynch, their running back. If you look up "beastquake" you will see what a mean, it is hard as hell to tackle this guy. Also the media hates him because he doesnt take their shit.

flip a coin and put $100 on your team. you'll then also know who to root for. I'm from Mass so I'll be rooting for the Pats, also couldn;t really care too much. Car commercials should be interesting.

Hmmm, well I like people who don't put up with the media's shit, so this Marshawn guy sounds pretty cool because I find the football media extremely annoying with all of their hours and hours of "analyzing" and "discussion" (I think there's roughly a 5 hour pregame show today... really?!?) which to me is just redundant speculation...
